Cherry Mobile Alpha Neon and Alpha View Specs, Price, Philippines

For MWC, Cherry Mobile posted via Facebook page yet another milestone for their company with addition of new smartphones for their Alpha Line. Though I guess Microsoft let slip out a few details.

"We have worked with Philippine-based Cherry Mobile on their previous Windows Phones and we are glad to see their next generation of devices that includes the 5″ Alpha Neon and 6″ Alpha View devices announced during MWC."

Alpha Neon houses a 5 inch HD Display powered by 1.2GHz Quad Core Snapdragon 200 with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal Storage. It packs 2000mAh Battery.

On to Phablet Alpha View with its 6 inch HD Display also comes with same Snapdragon 200 quad core processor coupled with 1GB RAM but bit higher 8GB Internal Storage and 2600mAh Battery. This is great budget offering as it may serve as affodable alternative to Lumia Phablets that have very steep prices.

Both offer the regular connectivity features as HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS as well as similar camera optics at 8MP rear and 2MP front.

Neon is Priced for 3,999 and Alpha View for 4,999 Pesos.

Nokia Lumia 530 - Quad-Core Budget Lumia

Want a Budget Quad-Core Lumia? Nokia by Microsoft gives you Lumia 530.

The device sports a 4 inch WVGA TN Display powered by 1.2GHz Quad-Core MSM8225 Snapdragon 200 Processor with 4GB Internal Storage and 512MB RAM.

For its optics it features only a 5MP back camera with 1/4'' sensor size and video recording 480p @30fps. No front camera here.

The regular WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS including HSPA+ data connectivity are the phone’s connectivity features.

I believe it sticks to the old battery of Lumia 520 with 1480mAh capacity. With more cores, battery life is reduced a bit.

Overall, Lumia 530 is Microsoft budget offering that comes with humble specifications for basic users for only 4,990 pesos. It's more of a cutback of the old Lumia 520, less the IPS display gone and down to 4GB from 8GB storage, just a chipset upgrade. For the basic consumer and those who want to shift from feature phones or those who want to try Windows Phone.
