Power Mac Center Summer Workshop 2016 ReCreate Learning for Kids

Summer is just around the bend and kids are excited for vacation and so premier Apple reseller, Power Mac Center offers a fun and educational activity – Summer Workshops 2016.

Summer Workshops 2016 is part of an annual workshop series conducted by Power Mac Center’s Apple Authorized Training Center (AATC). Now on its 9th year, this summer’s trainings will revolve around the theme “ReCREATE LEARNING: Shaping Kids for the Information Age.” Features topics integrated to 21st century skills, a set of abilities including critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity that students need to develop in order to succeed in the information age. 

This is a techie summer treat for children aged 7 to 12 to have fun while learning digital skills with the use of customized learning spaces. Power Mac Center’s Apple Authorized trainers will serve as mentors to teach kids advanced digital tools and to bring out their imagination. The advanced training methodology used for these classes involves lectures, demonstrations, guided hands-on activities, and actual project creation.

“We’re doing this workshop series to bring out the inner creative genius in kids,” said Joey Alvarez, Marketing Director of Power Mac Center. “We want them to start young and make learning a habit, while enjoying the company of other children at the same time.”

Participants may choose from Power Mac Center Summer Workshops 2016’s array of specialized courses designed to familiarize students with various functions and programs that maximize the use of their Mac and iOS devices. The courses are Basic Electronic Engineering, Robotics Programming with Sphero, Game Creation, 3D Design to 3D Printing, App Development, Augmented Reality, Stop Motion Video Creation, and Interactive eBooks Creation. 

There will be three sessions for each topic with a fee of Php 3,500 per participant. Packaged fee for two topics is at Php 6,000 per participant.

The workshops will commence in Manila locations on April 4 and run until April 30. For those in the Visayas, there are scheduled workshops in Cebu from April 25 to May 6. Meanwhile, Davao City is also set to host a couple of courses from April 11 to May 6.

Power Mac Center Presents Sync Sessions 2015 Hale, Up Dharma Down, Mayonnaise and Sponge Cola.

Sync Session 2015 Music Festival is back by Power Mac Center, an audio-digital crossover experience that bring together the country’s iconic bands synchronize good music and cutting-edge technology using Apple devices.

“After a successful inaugural lineup last year, Sync Sessions went so well that we felt it timely to bring it back this year,” said Power Mac Center’s Marketing Director, Joey Alvarez.  “With this groundbreaking festival, we hope to bring a whole new perspective in making and enjoying music as we encourage established and aspiring bands to use their Apple devices to create music.”

Kicked off last September 19 at TriNoma, with leading alternative rock band, Hale. Will be followed on October 3 at Power Plant Mall in Makati by techno rock performance of Up Dharma Down; October 10 at SM Mall of Asia - five-piece pop rock band Mayonnaise and finishing off with chart-topper Sponge Cola on October 17 at SM Megamall.

Sync Sessions started in 2014, showcasing the power of Apple products in creating revolutionary live band performances.  Among the acts who took part were Sandwich, Pedicab, Kate Torralba, Taken By Cars, Techy Romantics, The Zombettes, Pedicab, Gracenote, Ciudad, Itchyworms including Franco and Urbandub live performances at the Power Mac Center’s Light Year event.

“Sync Sessions aims to transform the way we perceive, create and transmit music to the rest of the world,” Alvarez added. “We’re also pleased that some of those who attended are starting to create their own musical pieces, encouraging them to experiment with their iPhones and iPads. Power Mac Center is glad to be part of this musical revolution.”

Power Mac Center Opens Biggest Apple Authorized Service Provider in the Philippines

Apple Premium Reseller Power Mac Center recently inaugurated its 8th Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) at the Annex of SM City North EDSA which stands on 173.64 square meters making it the biggest AASP in the country to date and is fully equipped to accommodate Apple repairs and provide better services to its customers.

“More than just the space, our Service Center in North EDSA demonstrates our commitment to Apple users to provide full end-to-end customer satisfaction. After-sales service has become an integral part of our operations and expanding this to a provide service to a wider market in more areas is a key growth opportunity for us,” says Power Mac Center Marketing Director Joey Alvarez.

Apple users in the North area will now have easier access to repair and maintenance services, with their Apple Certified Technicians equipped to offer fast, reliable and do efficient repairs.

Power Mac Center unveiled their newly renovated First Landmark Store at SM Megamall. It was successfully re-launched at the recently held “Dare to Transform” event that gathered company executives, trade partners and brand ambassadors. Guests enjoyed special performances and exclusive offers.
